Most Valuable Player/Offensive Player of the Year: Jordan Howard

Stats: 276 rushes, 1122 yards, 9 touchdowns (16 games)

2016 fifth-rounder Jordan Howard broke into the league in a big way last season, totaling a Chicago Bears rookie record 1313 yards and a Pro Bowl appearance.

Howard proved that his rookie season was not a fluke with an impressive sophomore campaign.

Howard was the centerpiece of the Bears offense, touching the ball 299 times (7th in all of the NFL, second in the NFC).

What truly made Jordan Howard the Bears 2017 MVP was how the team’s success corresponded with Howard’s. Howard’s three biggest games all came in Bears wins.

Week 3 vs PIT- 23 attempts, 140 yards, 2 touchdowns (game-winning touchdown in overtime)

Week 6 @ BAL- 36 attempts, 167 yards

Week 13 @ CIN- 23 attempts, 147 yards, 2 touchdowns

As Howard enters his third season, the Pro Bowl running back will look to maximize his production behind a developing Mitch Trubisky. He will likely continue to get the majority of the touches on offense and thus will need to continue to improve if the Bears want to crawl out of the cellar.

Honorable Mention: Akiem Hicks
