Chicago Bears: Top Performers of 2017
The Chicago Bears finished the 2017 regular season 5-11 record, their fourth consecutive last-place finish. While the overall production on the field was generally sub-par, a few players, in particular, stood out.
Another Chicago Bears season has come and gone.
In a season that started out with optimism, the Bears, for the most part, were a complete disappointment. The Bears finished 5-11: a two-game improvement from last season, but still not nearly enough to crawl out of the NFC North cellar.

With the fourth consecutive last-place finish, times are changing for the Bears. The John Fox era is over, and it seems the Ryan Pace era is just beginning.
With an exciting young core and soon-to-be-hired new head coach, Bears fans have reason to be excited following another lackluster season.
While it might be hard to find any bright spots on a last place team, the Bears had quite a few. Most notably the defense, who finished 10th overall in total defense.
Another bright spot was the rookies. The Bears heavily criticized 2017 draft class proved doubters wrong with their exciting and impactful play throughout the season.
The light at the end of the tunnel might seem far for Bears fans, but the play of a few players showed the brightness that the future holds.
