In a battle of what will likely be the two worst teams in the NBA, this will be a game to avoid if you are someone who loves to watch fun basketball. Just as the Chicago Bulls are doing their own rebuild, the Atlanta Hawks have decided to go the same route. Last off season, they let big man Al Horford join the Celtics on a max deal. This off season, they let Paul Millsap and Tim Hardaway Jr. go to the Nuggets and Knicks respectively.

More from Da Windy City

On paper, this is a very winnable game for the Chicago Bulls. In real life, who knows with both teams tanking. Could the Hawks or Bulls sit their best player in order to secure a loss, and possibly a leg up on the competition for the number 1 pick in the 2018 draft. That draft has some of the best players that the NBA has seen since the 2003 draft when Dwayne Wade, Lebron James, and Chris Bosh were all taken within the first 5 picks.

Look for this to be a low scoring game, with both teams offenses not yet in tune to the new roster. We could see quite a few records for lowest field goal percentage for the entire season. This should be the first win of the young season for the Chicago Bulls.

Final Score Prediction: Chicago 102 – Atlanta 97

Scoring Leaders: Robin Lopez: 24, Kent Bazemore: 21

Rebound Leaders: Robin Lopez: 11, Ersan Ilyasova: 8
