Wide Receivers/Tight Ends: ?

Again, what are we supposed to say about this Chicago Bears receiving corps when they have Glennon throwing to them?

They at least managed to catch a couple of passes this week as Glennon targeted them more than four times. And they still dropped a few balls, though, truthfully, their quarterback didn’t always get the ball near enough to them to even do that.

Kendall Wright caught Glennon’s token one touchdown in a bad performance, and Zach Miller had a few nice catches-and-runs. And Deonte Thompson led the team with five receptions, most coming in garbage time. So…yay?

On the flip side, Markus Wheaton was targeted three times and still doesn’t have his first catch. With that said, though, can we even really count Glennon awfully overthrowing him as a target?

The money the Bears invested in him this offseason certainly doesn’t look very well spent right now. He dropped a few passes Sunday against Pittsburgh and has yet to make his presence felt on offense. And I doubt he will under the current system, if you know what I mean.

But that doesn’t just apply to Wheaton. Until Mitch Trubisky starts at quarterback, all their jobs are going to continue to be difficult.

That said, can we not be giving up strip sacks, Dion Sims? Please?
