Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers: TV schedule, radio, live stream
Complete game details for the Week 4 match-up between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
The Chicago Bears entered their matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers with a 0-2 record. They desperately needed a win as it is, obviously, very hard to overcome a 0-3 start to a season.
Well, the Bears took care of business. It wasn’t pretty, but they left Soldier Field with a 1-2 record, beating the Steelers in overtime 23-17.
Since Mike Glennon is an ineffective quarterback, the Chicago Bears had to rush for 220 yards in order to pull off the upset. Glennon only threw for 101 yards, which is remarkable in a passing league, in the year 2017.
To beat the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, the Chicago Bears will need another strong effort by the defense and running game. Glennon cannot turn the ball over like he did against the Steelers with the late interception.
Hopefully, Jordan Howard‘s shoulder holds up for another 100-yard rushing game with multiple touchdowns. The Chicago Bears will also need Tarik Cohen to shoulder some of the load and make some electric plays.
The defense was superb against the Steelers. They were able to get pressure with their front four, with the occasional corner blitz by Bryce Callahan. This allowed the corners and safeties to play in safe coverages, which really made life tough for Ben Roethlisberger.
The Packers have a lot of injuries on their team and are especially banged up on the offensive line. David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga were both “limited ” in practice, on Tuesday. Even if they play, Leonard Floyd, Willie Young and Pernell McPhee may still be able to take advantage of them not being 100 percent.
In order to win, the front four will have to apply pressure. If they do not, Rodgers will pick them apart. The defensive line needs to stay disciplined as well. Although I hate giving credit to Rodgers, he is so good at drawing defensive linemen offsides. When that happens, Rodgers always takes the chance to throw it deep when awarded the free play. The Bears need to keep those kinds of mistakes to a minimum.

So, the keys will be: apply pressure, run the ball, avoid turnovers on offense and stay disciplined. If the Chicago Bears are able to do this, then they may leave Lambeau Field with a respectable 2-2 record and some serious momentum.
