Five Fantasy Football options for the Chicago Bears this week
4. Dion Sims/Zach Miller
If there’s one thing we know about Glennon, it’s that he loves his security blankets close to the line of scrimmage. As such, he’s been sure to target both Sims and Miller regularly, both in regular and garbage time.
There’s no reason to expect that he won’t keep looking for them against a tough, fast Steelers defense.
Just listening to Mike Tomlin’s comments on Glennon, I think we can all expect the Steelers to throw like nine people at him on passing downs. I can almost see Tomlin smiling at the thought of smearing the Bears’ “statuesque” quarterback all over the Soldier Field sod.
And when the Steelers do send pressure at Glennon, he’s immediately going to look for his tight ends. Both players have been targeted plenty by Glennon in the early going (sometimes a little too much…). Expect that to continue.
Miller, the more well-known pass-catcher of the two, would be my choice if you had to pick one of them to stream this week. However, Sims also caught a touchdown pass back in the Bears’ third preseason game from Glennon and is a big red zone target. If the Bears ever manage to get down there, I would expect Sims to get an opportunity, especially with the lack of receivers.
If the Bears offense isn’t getting in the end zone, either play presents risk. But if you need to steam a tight end this week and want guys with some base production, either should do.
