Chicago Bears lose to Buccaneers: Offensive grades
Wide Receivers/Tight Ends: D
The wide receivers were about ten minutes away from escaping this game with a C just because.
After all, how can you fault the receivers for Glennon not getting them the ball? Then, they decided to ruin it by dropping literally every pass thrown their direction with the clock winding down in the fourth quarter.

Josh Bellamy, everyone’s favorite drop culprit had one. Kendall Wright had one. Newcomer Tanner Gentry, whom everyone desperately wanted to see on the field, had another. Zach Miller threw in a drop on fourth down as well on the Bears’ penultimate possession.
In the end, Deonte Thompson‘s garbage-time touchdown reception finally got them on the board and helped redeem them a bit. That said, as with Glennon’s performance, getting things done when the game is out of reach doesn’t negate the bad.
With their unit already badly depleted, this road won’t get any easier with their current quarterback. Glennon’s limitations in throwing the ball more than eight yards in the air will keep defenders in their hip pocket.
Unfortunately, until the Chicago Bears finally turn to Trubisky, there won’t be a lot of hope for these receivers.
