Parris Campbell (Wide Receiver), Ohio State

Parris Campbell is on the rise. After a disappointing 2016 season with zero touchdowns, Parris Campbell needs bounce back season.

Campbell got off to a spectacular start against Indiana, catching six passes for 136 yards and a touchdown. Campbell expects to be J.T. Barrett’s top target this season, making him a big break out candidate.

Campbell spent the past two seasons as the fourth and third wide receivers, playing behind five eventually NFL draft picks, including Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, and Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel, both second round picks. Now the top reciever in an explosive  offense, Parris Campbell has a chance to see his stock rise in 2017.

With Oklahoma cornerback Jordan Taylor out for the year, Campbell will need to expose inexperienced cornerbacks and safeties on the deep ball. Campbell plays an important role in the Buckeyes offense, and will need last weeks success to carry over to Saturday if Ohio State wants a chance to win.

Campbell is an intruiging NFL draft prospect, given the fact that Campbell has shown massive potential in very limited action. Campbell’s consistency this season will be the key. If he can prove to be a reliable top target, Parris Campbell could be one of the first wide receivers to come off the board.

drThe Bears receiving core is very thin. With Cameron Meredith out for the year and Kevin White yet to make any impact, the Bears will definently need to address the position one way or the other next offseason. Campbell is not the top receiving prospect in the draft, but has a chance to make a name for himself in a big role this season.
