Devonta Freeman

Devonta Freeman is one of the top running backs in the NFL. Freeman finished ninth in the NFL last season with 1,079 rushing yards, and was named to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season.

Freeman was a big part of a Falcons offense that was second in the league in total offense last season. Freeman enters his fourth season in the NFL as one of the top offensive threats in all of the league.

More from Chicago Bears

Despite being one of the NFL’s best running backs last season, Freeman is not the top threat on the Falcons offense. In an offense that features reigning MVP Matt Ryan and fellow pro bowl wide receiver Julio Jones, Freeman’s impact is not the only one made by the entire Falcons offense.

However, this does not mean that Freeman will not play a role in the game. In fact, Freeman might just play the biggest role. Nobody really knows what to expect from the Bears secondary coming into the season, and if they are effective in the pass coverage game, the Falcons could turn to Freeman and shift to a run-first offense.

Regardless of what the status of the passing game is, Devonta Freeman will play a big role in the final outcome of the game. If Freeman can be overpowering on the ground and run for over 100 yards, the Bears defense will struggle to keep the Falcons out of the end zone.

By now, we know what to expect from Devonta Freeman. After back-to-back pro bowl seasons, Freeman has established himself as one of the top running backs in the NFL. If Freeman continues this theme of success on Sunday, the Falcons will more likely than not come out on top.
