Chicago Bears: Three players who should’ve made 53-man roster cut
After the official roster moves have been made, here are the three Chicago Bears that should have made the 53-man roster.
The Chicago Bears had until 4 pm est. on Saturday to trim their roster from 90 to 53 players. This is obviously much different from the years where teams made their final rosters from a pool of 75 players.
This new policy gives general managers like Ryan Pace more time to make evaluations on all of the players on the roster. In other words, the third and fourth stringers have more chances to prove themselves worthy of a 53-man roster/practice squad spot.
When rosters are trimmed, there are moves that will surprise people in a good way or a bad way. Fans will question moves, based on performances in training camp and the preseason, for better or for worse.
For a Chicago Bears team that is on the back end of a rebuild, they need to favor young talent instead of stale veterans that should not be playing on the team. Shortly, I will show you why that is the case for the 2017 Chicago Bears.
Let’s take a look at three players that should not have been cut by Pace and the Chicago Bears.
