Jeremy Langford, Running back

Jeremy Langford, who was the Week 1 starter last season, has become the forgotten man. He played in his first game of the preseason last week against the Titans and carried the ball five times for 15 yards. He had two big runs on back-to-back plays in the third quarter, which was an eight-yard run followed by a seven-yard run. Immediately after those two rushes, he had a catch for 10 yards, which was followed by a catch of nine yards.

I was very impressed with his play, considering I did not see him play like that at all last year. He showed good instincts in this game, with knowing when to plant his foot in the ground and cut upfield.

A strong couple drives on Thursday could secure his spot on the 53-man roster. He was taken in the fourth round, which means that Ryan Pace would love nothing more than to see flashes from him and him make the team.

He will still likely be the third running back, at best. This is because Tarik Cohen looks like the next Darren Sproles. So, it will be interesting to see how Benny Cunningham and Langford play against the Cleveland Browns. Their performances could determine the order of the Chicago Bears running back depth chart.
