Mitchell Trubisky is the real deal

Chicago Bears’ backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky continues to impress. He entered the game at the start of the third quarter since the Chicago Bears deferred the ball to start off the game.

The team went three-and-out on his first possession. He missed his first throw in the flat and threw it just a tad too high for the receiver on third down. Also, I thought that he should have had one interception.

However, the good plays drastically outweighed the bad plays. Trubisky completed 10 of 15 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.

Look at that throw. I could watch that on a loop for an hour.  He sold the play action brilliantly, stepped up in the pocket, and had a perfect over-the-top delivery on the touchdown pass to Tanner Gentry. That was a 45-yard pass laid into Gentry’s hands perfectly. Honestly, I do not believe that this is a throw that Glennon can throw or even attempt.

Now, watch those two plays. Do you see the mobility? That is an NFL quarterback that is able to extend plays and add a dimension to the offense. He can throw great passes on the run, while he shows off the speed.

Trubisky will be the starter at some point this season. The only question is which week that is.
