2. Rishard Matthews, Tennessee Titans

In his first season with the Titans, Rishard Matthews had 65 receptions for 945 yards and nine touchdowns in 2016. He proved to be a consistent target for quarterback Marcus Mariota last season, showing the ability to make plays both in the slot and on the outside.

Matthews figures to play a big role with the Titans in 2017, but they have the depth at wide receiver to move him if the right offer comes along. Eric Decker, 2017 fifth-overall pick Corey Davis, Tre McBride and third-round rookie Taywan Taylor could make him expendable.

The Titans have an interesting mix of players at the wide receiver position. While Matthews is among the most established, he could lose a lot of playing time if the young guys emerge quickly.

In Chicago, Matthews would immediately become the Bears’ number one receiver. Matthews is not as young as some of the others on this list, but at 27 years old, he still has plenty of long-term value. As long as the price is right, Rishard Matthews would be an extremely interesting trade target for the Chicago Bears and probably an immediate upgrade over Meredith.

It’s hard to say how interested the Titans would really be in moving Matthews. Sure, they have a lot of interesting players at wide receiver, but this is a team that is undoubtedly looking to compete. The Bears may have better luck in a trade for Matthews if they send a piece to the Titans who can help them in 2017.

Cornerback Kyle Fuller immediately comes to mind, as the Titans have struggled in the secondary in recent years. Would something like Fuller and a mid-round pick be enough? I wouldn’t think that would be far off and would be an interesting option for the Bears.
