The Chicago Blackhawks have undoubtedly been the most dominant professional Chicago Sports team of the modern era. While other teams in Chicago have dealt with inconsistency, the Blackhawks have been one of the premier NHL franchises in recent history. With Stanley Cup championships in 2010, 2013 and 2015, the Blackhawks are arguably the NHL team to beat of the modern era.

Patrick Kane has been arguably their best player through this run. The Blackhawks drafted Kane with the first overall pick in the 2007 NHL Draft and it did not take him long to become one of the most explosive offensive players in the entire league.

Through his 10-year career with the Blackhawks, Kane has been named an NHL All-Star nine times. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy (Rookie of the Year) for his play as a 19-year-old rookie in 2007-08 and won the Conn Smythe Trophy (Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP) in 2013. Kane’s best season came in 2015-16, when he took home the Hart Memorial Trophy (MVP), Ted Lindsay Award (Most Outstanding Player and the Art Ross Trophy (Top Point Scorer).

Kane is an absolutely dominant offensive player who has totaled up big points for the Blackhawks over the years. In fact, he is the sixth most points of any player in franchise history. At only 28 years old, Kane has a legitimate chance of becoming the all-time leading scorer in franchise history before it is all said and done.

Simply put, Kane is already one of the best players in the long and storied history of the Chicago Blackhawks. He is also a proven winner and one of the best players of his generation.
