What an interesting first preseason game for the Chicago Bears. What can we take away from their loss to the Denver Broncos?

In their first preseason action of the year, the Chicago Bears lost to the Denver Broncos 24-17. There was a lot of bad at the beginning and the end, but there was a lot to like about their performance in between.

Preseason wins and losses do not matter in the slightest bit. No NFL team enters a preseason game planning to win at all costs. However, that does not mean they are useless. The preseason is a time to get ready for the regular season and see which 53 players are the best to move forward with. It is a time for young players to prove themselves and veterans to tune up for the real games.

For the Chicago Bears, the preseason is even more interesting than usual this season. They are clearly a rebuilding team that is not expected to compete for a postseason berth this year. That being said, there is a lot of young and interesting talent on this roster that will be showcased throughout the preseason.

We saw the Bears’ young talent on full display on Thursday night. There was a ton to like, but also some concerns as well. What came we take away from this game? I’m glad you asked.
