Chicago Bears injury report

Bears guard Kyle Long will likely not see much playing time this preseason as he is still recovering from a broken ankle. The good news is he has seen an increase in reps in 11-on-11 drills. Long will likely be ready to go for the start of the season.

Outside linebacker Lamarr Houston suffered a torn ACL last season and is still recovering from the surgery. The good news is that he is making progress.

Inside linebacker Danny Trevathan suffered a ruptured patellar tendon last season. He is also making progress. The Bears are being very cautious with a lot of the players that suffered significant injuries last season. You probably won’t see a majority of them play in the preseason because the goal is to have them ready by week one.

Earlier this week the Bears announced that offensive lineman Eric Kush suffered a major hamstring injury and will miss the entire season.
