Bulls sign Ryan Arcidiacono to a two-way contract

Chicago Bulls: C

On August 1st, the Chicago Bulls signed guard Ryan Arciadiacono to a two-way contract. Arciadiacono had a solid college career at Villanova but probably does not have the quickness or athleticism to be a major contributor in the NBA.

Arciadiacono is a solid outside shooter and good distributor who may grow into a solid end of the bench player. However, he is going to have to work extremely hard in order for that to happen.

I doubt Arciadiacono ever becomes a big-time contributor, but it’s not like there is any risk involved with this move. A solid “C” feels about right.

Final Grade for the 2017 Chicago Bulls Offseason: D

I do like some of the minor moves that the Bulls made, but every major moved was botched by the organization. They did not capitalize on trading Jimmy Butler, the Jordan Bell pick was a joke and they missed an opportunity to land a potential superstar when they passed on Dennis Smith Jr.

The Bulls’ offseason may not be completely over. Nikola Miortic still remains unsigned and it is most likely that he returns to Chicago. Plus, the Bulls could still surprise us and make a run at a guy like Nerlens Noel or JaMychal Green. I doubt it, but you never know.

All in all, this was a bad offseason for the Chicago Bulls and unless they get lucky, they will likely be bad for at least the next few years. With another offseason where the front office looked completely outmatched in the books, should the Bulls look to clean house? John Paxson and Gar Forman’s jobs have to be in jeopardy at this point. But that is a discussion for another day.
