The Chicago Bears enter training camp with an interesting mix of players who could grow into a contending group. It is time to predict who comes out of camp on the Bears’ 53-man roster.

It is finally here. After a long offseason, the Chicago Bears reported to the campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois for training camp on Wednesday. Their first official practice will take place on Thursday morning. Football is officially back.

There will be many interesting battles to watch in training camp and are countless players who specifically need to shine. One thing is for sure, it will be an interesting few weeks in Bourbonnais.

Nobody really expects the Bears to be major competitors in 2017. After going 3-13 last season, who could really blame them. That being said, this should still be an interesting team to watch.

General manager Ryan Pace has made many significant additions this offseason, plus you can only expect the Bears to have better luck than last year. Chicago struggled mightily with injuries last season and also took more than their fair share of close losses, losing six games by six points or less.

A good break here and an important player staying healthy there and the Bears easily could have been much better. Now, I am not saying that they will all of a sudden dominate in 2017. We know that is not going to happen. However, if certain players step up and their luck changes a bit, the Bears could easily be a .500 team. After last season, I think most Bears fans would be happy with that turnaround.

Training camp will undoubtedly have a lot to do with who makes the roster, but it is always interesting to look ahead and make predictions. Don’t lie, you love this kind of stuff. So, before we get too invested in the training camp cycle, let’s go through and make some opening day roster predictions.

Who will begin the season on the 53-man roster for the Chicago Bears? Let’s start with the signal callers.
