2. Eloy Jimenez, OF

Coming over to the White Sox from the Cubs, Eloy Jimenez is an absolute beast on the field. He has ridiculous raw power, elite contact skills, good plate discipline and plays strong defense in the outfield. Jimenez was the Cubs’ top prospect and considered a top five or ten prospect in the entire game.

Jimenez has been thought by many to be a better talent than Moncada. I’m not sure I feel that way but it has been said. Jimenez is known for his power bat and isn’t very fast coming out of the box, but his high baseball IQ and willingness to learn more than makes up for that.

Not sit back and think about this for a second. The year is 2021, the Chicago White Sox are loaded with talent all over the field, including a ridiculous starting outfield of Jimenez, Robert and Rutherford! No matter how you look at it, that trio is going to be extremely exciting to watch on the South Side.

Jimenez does need to work on his pitch selection a bit. He tends to swing at bad pitches a bit too often and that will become a major issue if it continues as he rises the minor league ladder. That being said, his physical tools and ability to make hard contact on almost any pitch make Jimenez an incredible overall baseball player. Make no mistake about it, the White Sox found an important part of their future in the Cubs trade.
