Check out the complete Chicago Cubs lineup when Jose Quintana makes his team debut against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday afternoon.

The Chicago Cubs made a big move earlier in the week, acquiring starting pitcher Jose Quintana from the Chicago White Sox. Quintana is one of the most consistent starting pitchers in baseball who has really started to pitch well after a slow start this season. He is now an extremely important part of Cubs in 2017 and beyond.

Quintana will make his Cubs debut on Sunday in what will obviously be a highly anticipated start. Here is the lineup that the Cubs and Quintana will go to battle with against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday.

Chicago Cubs lineup

After taking the first two games of the series thanks to offensive explosions, the Chicago Cubs will be looking for a sweep of the Orioles behind Quintana. A pretty straightforward lineup put together by Joe Maddon here, with most of the regulars getting the start.

Javier Baez is the notable omission from the group, as he gets a day off after a three-hit performance on Saturday. Ben Zobrist will take over second base duties on Sunday, with Jon Jay in left field and Ian Happ in center. Addison Russell has hit a home run in each of the last two games and he gets the start at shortstop, hitting eighth. Playing in the American League park, the Cubs have the benefit of putting Kyle Schwarber in the lineup as the designated hitter.

Quintana and this Cubs lineup will do battle against the Orioles who will send Ubaldo Jimenez to the mound. Jimenez has been awful this season, posting an ugly 6.67 ERA in 18 games (13 starts). Jimenez is a veteran pitcher who is capable of a strong start at any time, but do not be surprised if the Cubs’ offense puts up some impressive production in support of Quintana in his first start.

Going out and adding Jose Quintana was a big move by the Chicago Cubs. Seeing him on the mound for the Cubs for the first time makes this one worth checking out. First pitch for this game is at 12:35 p.m. CT with ABC 7 broadcasting the match up locally.
