Chicago Blackhawks: Brand new jerseys, same great logo

The Chicago Blackhawks, and the rest of the NHL, will have new Adidas jerseys for the upcoming 2017-2018 season. So what has changed?

For the most part, every team’s jersey stayed the same, pretty much just some new jersey technology and design. For the Chicago Blackhawks, they look very similar, which is a great thing. Perhaps one of the most iconic jerseys in sports history doesn’t need to be changed up much.

So what does Adidas bring to the table that Reebok didn’t? First and foremost, Adidas has made the jerseys 19% lighter than the former jerseys. Also, they have added Adidas Clima® Technology which will help with breathability and moisture management.

So what does the new design look like?

I absolutely love the detail and the stitching that Adidas has brought to the table. The jerseys look clean and smooth in my opinion. The detail is amazing, you can definitely tell that Adidas wanted to get this right and in my opinion, they have.

Now let’s discuss some of the other winners and losers from the jersey reveal.

There are a couple of teams that in my opinion benefited from the new designs from Adidas.

The Minnesota Wild have definitely stepped up their jersey game. Just check out that cream-colored strip, I love it.

What about the new team in the league the Vegas Golden Knights? With most teams wearing red, blues and blacks I absolutely love the gray and gold in these jerseys.

Now let’s check out a team’s jersey that, well it’s hard to say anything nice about. I’ll just leave it to you all to decide what you think.

As you can see, this jersey isn’t the most attractive jersey you will look at. Now if you’re a Nashville Predators fan, you probably love this. However, I personally don’t see how.

I will say that it is very exciting to see some fresh uniforms for every team. The NHL did a good job giving Adidas a shot at the jerseys. I’m eager to see some of these jerseys in person and purchasing my new Chicago Blackhawks one soon!
