When is the 2017 MLB Draft?

The 2017 MLB Draft is right around the corner. Find out when it is, how to watch and much more.

The 2017 MLB Draft will begin on Monday, June 6th at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Minnesota Twins hold the first overall pick, followed by the Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves to round out the top five. The Chicago White Sox hold the 11th overall selection, while the Chicago Cubs pick twice in the first round (27th and 30th overall). The Cubs received a compensatory pick after losing Dexter Fowler to the St. Louis Cardinals in free agency.

Vanderbilt RHP Kyle Wright, Louisville LHP Brendan McKay and California (High School) RHP Hunter Greene are commonly considered to be the best prospects in the 2017 MLB Draft. Wright, McKay and Greene will likely go in some order to the Twins, Reds and Padres in the top three, with Wright being the most likely first overall selection.

Day 1:

Monday, June 12th at 7 p.m. ET
Round 1 and Competitive Balance Round A will be televised live on MLB Network.
Round 2 and Competitive Balance Round B will be shown live on MLB.com.

Day 2:

Tuesday, June 13th at 1 p.m. ET
Rounds 3-10 will be shown live on MLB.com.

Day 3:

Wednesday, June 14th at Noon ET
Rounds 11-40 will be shown live on MLB.com.
