Frank Mason III, Kansas

College seniors are not held in high regard in the NBA Draft anymore. Teams almost exclusively opt for the upside of a younger player as opposed to the stability of a guy who played for four years. However, there are times where this will cause teams to look past a guy who will thrive at the next level.

Scouts will point to his age and lack of size, but Kansas point guard Frank Mason III is a strong overall basketball player. Mason is a tough player who is not afraid of any situation. He uses his impressive combination of quickness, power and athleticism to get to the basket with ease. Mason is a strong finisher in traffic and shows the ability to create shots for his teammates as well.

Mason can undoubtedly make plays on the drive and is a strong leader on the court, but his most impressive skill is his ability to hit the outside shot. The legendary Jayhawk shot an incredible 47-percent from behind the arc as a senior, showing an ability to hit big shots in the toughest situations

While his catch and shoot game needs some work, Mason is deadly as a shooter off of the dribble. An impressive offensive weapons who can create plays for both himself and his teammates, Frank Mason III is an interesting prospect for the NBA game.

The Chicago Bulls have the numbers at the point guard position but they clearly do not have a strong long-term option to bring the ball up. He is far from a perfect prospect but Mason would be an interesting player to add to the mix. If nothing else, his outside shooting would help space the floor.

The Bulls should have Mason on their radar with the 38th overall selection.
