Bradley Chubb, EDGE, NC State

Bradley Chubb is not a freak athlete on the edge like someone like Arden Key. Do not get me wrong, he can certainly attack the quarterback, but Chubb is a more balanced player who shows a complete skillset on the edge.

Chubb is a 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive end who shows great overall ability on the outside. He is a more traditional defensive end than an edge rusher, showing good speed and power on the outside. Chubb had 10 sacks for NC State last season but he is also a strong run defender.

Chubb is the kind of player who you can count on to set the edge. His pass rush ability is impressive, but perhaps not elite. However, his ability in other facets of the game more than makes up for it.

In Leonard Floyd, the Bears already have one freakishly athletic rusher on one end. While you can never have too many guys who can create pressure on the quarterback, a prospect like Chubb may be a better compliment to Floyd than a guy like Key.

Both prospects are incredible but Chubb’s balance should be particularly appealing to the Bears. Expect him to be a specific target for the Chicago Bears in the 2018 NFL Draft.
