Arden Key, EDGE, LSU

With Myles Garrett now in the NFL, LSU defensive end Arden Key may be the most explosive edge rusher in college football. Key was an absolute force for LSU last season, putting up 11 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss.

He is listed at 6-foot-6, 231 pounds and has ridiculous burst and athleticism off of the edge. Key is a freak athlete who can make a consistent impact on the outside. If the Bears pick towards the top of the draft again, Key should undoubtedly be on their radar. He is an elite-level prospect at one of the most important positions on the field.

Key has had a bit of an odd offseason. He took some time away from the LSU football program, citing personal reasons. However, Key eased the worries of LSU fans last week, simply Tweeting “I am not sitting out my junior year.” It is difficult to say what Key’s leave was all about but expect to see him on the field attacking quarterbacks for LSU next season.

It is exciting to think about what the Bears’ defense could become if they could add Key to the mix. Sticking him opposite of Leonard Floyd would give the team an incredible young pass rushing duo to build around.

Key is an exciting young edge rusher who would be a welcomed addition to any organization. Giving him to Vic Fangio to work with would give opposing quarterbacks nightmares.
