The Chicago Bears had an interesting showing in the 2017 NFL Draft, to say the least. It is way too early, but let’s look ahead to some possible targets for the team in the 2018 NFL Draft.

I know, I know. It is way too early. Give it a rest already, the Chicago Bears and the other 31 other teams just put together their 2017 NFL Draft class and now we want to look ahead to the 2018 crop? I say, why not? They Bears are not exactly a team who is expected to compete in 2017. The 2018 NFL Draft may quickly become the next important thing for Bears’ fans to pay attention to.

I am not going to put you through a 2018 NFL mock draft yet but I do want to look ahead at some possible targets for the Bears next year. Sure, it is painfully early but it does not hurt to check on the college football players who we should be keeping an eye on.

After the Bears made Mitch Trubisky their face of the franchise a few days ago, we are not going to worry about the quarterback position. I do not even want to think about what kind of tragedy would have to happen to allow the Bears to take a quarterback in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

That being said, there are still plenty of top-notch prospects for us to keep an eye on. Do not look at this as any sort of projection or anything like that. This post is more just to give us an early idea of prospects who could be on the Bears’ radar.

Here are five top-tier prospects who would make sense for the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
