Ryan Pace is going to take a quarterback at some point in the 2017 NFL Draft. Watson or Trubisky are certainly options in the first round. If available, Pat Mahomes and DeShone Kizer should be under consideration in the late first/early second.

After the second, Brad Kaaya and Nathan Peterman are the two that make the most sense for the Bears to me. With Kaaya off the board, Peterman was an easy choice here early in the fourth round.

Peterman will be knocked for his lack of arm strength. No matter how you look at it, he is not going to have a big-time arm at the next level. That being said, he does everything else well.

Peterman is an extremely accurate quarterback who seems to consistently put the ball on the nose. He does a great job of leading his receivers and shows nice touch on his passes as well.

Peterman is not an elite athlete at the quarterback position but he does have some nice mobility. He also shows a great ability to throw on the run. Peterman is a smart quarterback who shows great pocket awareness and can create plays with his legs when needed.

Perhaps most importantly, he is a tough guy who always does whatever it takes to make a play. Peterman is the kind of quarterback who his teammates will want to go to battle for.

His upside is relatively limited at the next level, but I think Peterman has a chance to be a good starting quarterback in the NFL. I love the idea of the Bears targeting him in this area of the draft.
