3. Michael Kopech, RHP

By now, if you’re a White Sox fan you know who Michael Kopech is. If you don’t, where have you been?!! Kopech is probably the one prospect that fans are dying to see play. With his electric fastball that is consistently around 100 MPH, Kopech is an easy prospect to fall in love with.

Kopech was expected to start the season in Single-A, however, a strong spring training saw him added to the Double-A Birmingham roster. Currently, he is 0-1 with a 3.75 ERA in three games. But don’t let those numbers fool you, Kopech has pitched 10 innings and has 20 strikeouts.

The main thing for Kopech right now is learning command and control of his fastball. You can’t be a flame thrower and have no control of your pitch, it just won’t work out. I’m sure I’m not the only one that wants to see Kopech pitch strong innings and cut down on walks, locate his fastball well and dominate hitters.

I don’t expect Kopech to be in the big leagues anytime soon and that’s just fine. When you are a flame thrower like he is he needs the time to work on his control and his stamina. If you haven’t done so yet, check out Michael Kopech highlights; you won’t be disappointed.
