The Chicago White Sox usually struggle to win games at new Yankee Stadium but they cruised to a 4-1 road win over the New York Yankees on Tuesday night.

128. Final. 1. 43. 4

The Chicago White Sox finally won a game at the new Yankee Stadium. With a little help from Miguel Gonzalez and Avisail Garcia, the White Sox looked unstoppable. Gonzalez would pitch 8 1/3 innings and only allowed four hits all night.

He looked virtually untouchable tonight against a red-hot Yankee lineup. The Yankees came into tonight’s game winners of eight in a row but were no match for Gonzalez and his superb outing.

Gonzalez would hold the Yankees hitless until the fifth inning when Starlin Castro would reach base on a little infield single. The White Sox got on the scoreboard first with a solo shot from Leury Garcia in the third inning and Gonzalez took over from there, shutting down Yankee hitters left and right.

Leury Garcia has been playing really well when he is given the chance to start. Right now, it seems like if your last name is Garcia, you’re going to have a good game.

Speaking of the name Garcia, Avisail continued his amazing start to the season tonight with a three-run bomb in the seventh inning to make it a four-run game for the Sox.

Avi has been on fire and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon which is great news for the White Sox. The Chicago White Sox slugger is currently batting .440 to start the season.

Highlights

Leury Garcia goes deep!

The scorching hot Avi Garcia breaks the game open for the White Sox.

Three Stars

1. Miguel Gonzalez: 8 1/3 innings pitched, 4 hits and 1 earned run allowed.

Gonzalez shut down a lineup that has been on fire the past week and a half on their home field. It’s safe to say Gonzalez is tonight’s number one star

2. Avisail Garcia: 1-3, 1 HR and 3 RBI

Raising his average to .440 on the season and went 1-3 with a three-run shot in the seventh inning. Garcia is a straight stud so far this season and I’d be shocked if his hot start stops anytime soon.

3. Leury Garcia: 1-3, 1 HR and 1 RBI

Garcia went 1-3 tonight also and hit a solo shot in the third inning. He has been playing pretty good ball when he is inserted into the lineup. His nice start only adds to the depth on the bench for the Sox this season.
