Chicago Bears: Logical 2017 NFL Draft Targets at Each Position
Cornerbacks
Marshon Lattimore, Ohio State: 6-foot-0, 193 pounds, Projected Round: 1
Marshon Lattimore is the best of the bunch in an absolutely loaded cornerback class. He is a true number one shut-down corner on the outside, showing the necessary speed, athleticism and overall coverage ability to absolutely dominate.
Lattimore is a true top five talent who the Chicago Bears need to be considering at number three.
Kevin King, Washington: 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Projected Round: 1-2
Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio loves overall size and length at the cornerback position. Kevin King is as long as it gets at corner. King is a bit raw but he is an incredible natural athlete who fits their defense extremely well. King is a natural man-to-man defender who can dominate at times.
I would not expect him to come in and be perfect, but the upside is massive here.
Quincy Wilson, Florida: 6-foot-1, 211 pounds, Projected Round: 2-3
Another big and physical cornerback who can press on the outside, Quincy Wilson would certainly make sense for the Bears. I would not like to see him in the first or second round, but if Wilson happens to be around in the third, the Bears would be wise to jump at the opportunity.
Damontae Kazee, San Diego State: 5-foot-10, 184 pounds, Projected Round: 5
Damontae Kazee is smaller and not near as athletic as these other guys. That being said, he is an extremely competitive defender who will make an impact at the next level. Kazee is going to be a nice steal for somebody.
