Chicago Cubs Raise World Series Banner Prior to Home Opener: Live Stream, Details and More
The Chicago Cubs will raise the 2016 World Series Championship Banner at Wrigley Field on Monday night. Can’t make it to the ballpark? Find out how to watch the pregame festivities via an online stream.
Before we fully move on to the 2017 season, we will celebrate the 2016 Chicago Cubs again on Monday night. As part of the pregame festivities for the Cubs’ home opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the 2016 World Series Champions banner will be raised at Wrigley Field. The Cubs will not receive their World Series rings until Wednesday night prior to their game against the Dodgers.
This is a moment that felt like would never get here. We will never forget watching Kris Bryant throw to Anthony Rizzo for the last out in Game 7, but seeing this banner get raised is another special moment that you will not want to miss.
Can’t make it out to Wrigley Field to see the festivities live? Don’t worry, you can still see everything live.
ESPN will broadcast the game between the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers tonight. They are also expected to show the banner being raised as part of the pregame festivities. However, it is unknown how much of the entire event will be shown. Never fear, the Cubs come through for us in the clutch again.
According to Carrie Muskat of MLB.com, “the banner-raising ceremony can be seen live on MLB.com and cubs.com at 6:20 pm CT/7:20 ET.”
That’s right, just head on over to Cubs.com at 6:20 pm Chicago time and you will not miss any of the action.
