Who to watch in the Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers three-game set this weekend.

The Chicago Cubs started the 2017 season off right. Sure, they dropped their opening night game against the St. Louis Cardinals, but the Cubs were able to battle back and win two in a row against the Redbirds. Taking two out of three against the Cardinals is a great way to start the season.

The Cubs now travel to take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park. The Brewers are coming off of a tough four-game series against the Colorado Rockies where they lost three games. The Brewers are not exactly expected to be competitive this season, but they have some nice talent worth paying attention to.

The Cubs will send Brett Anderson to the mound for his first career start for the team on Friday. Anderson will be opposed by Brewers’ young right-hander Jimmy Nelson. On Saturday, the Cubs will send reigning MLB ERA leader Kyle Hendricks to the mound to battle against Tommy Milone. Milone allowed two earned runs in two innings out of the bullpen earlier this week. He is now being pushed to the rotation after Opening day starter Junior Guerra hit the disabled list.

To finish the series, the Cubs will send Jake Arrieta to the mound on Sunday. It is actually Jon Lester‘s turn in the rotation, but Joe Maddon wanted Lester to face the lefty-heavy Dodgers lineup on Monday. The Brewers will send Zach Davies to the mound to battle against Arrieta.

The Chicago Cubs appear to have an obvious advantage in this series, but we play the games for a reason. This should be an interesting series between two talented and hungry teams. Here the five players who you should be watching throughout this weekend set.
