Chicago Cubs All-Time Leaders in Home Runs
Ah yes, the great Ron Santo. Cubs fans of this generation know Santo best as the emphatic and unbelievably loyal color commentator on the radio. However, well before he ever stepped in front of a mic for a living, Santo was one of the best players in Cubs history.

Santo played 14 of his 15 MLB seasons with the North Siders, hitting .279/.366/.472 in his Cubs career. The Cubs legend was a lethal power hitter who could take it deep at any time and an extremely smooth defender at third base.
Santo took home five consecutive Gold Glove awards from 1964-1968 and was a nine-time All-Star selection for the team. His famous number 10 was retired by the organization and Santo is an MLB Hall of Famer.
Sadly, Santo was not elected to the Hall of Fame until 2012, two years after his passing in 2010. He was elected to the Hall by the Golden Era Committee, a long overdue selection.
An extremely well-rounded baseball player, Santo is a Hall of Famer in the truest sense. He is one of the best players in the history of the Chicago Cubs franchise and it is no surprise to see him towards the top of this all-time list.
