Chicago Cubs All-Time Leaders in Home Runs
Who are the all-time home run leaders for the Chicago Cubs?
The Chicago Cubs are one of the most popular and historic franchises in Major League Baseball. They were one of the original teams in the National League, officially coming into existence as the Chicago White Stockings in 1876.
They have been called the Cubs since 1907 and have arguably the most history of any team in the game. The Cubs have been around forever, primarily being known as the loveable losers for many years. However, as you know, they broke that moniker in 2016 as they won their first World Series championship in 108 years.
Since the Cubs have been around for so long, they are towards the top in almost all of the all-time statistical categories in Major League Baseball. Home runs are not an exception to this, as the Chicago Cubs have the third most home runs of any franchise in Major League Baseball.
Who are the best power hitters in the long and storied history of the franchise? Let’s take a look at the Chicago Cubs all-time leaders in home runs. This list will not be filled with a ton of active players, but if certain guys keep it up, this list could look a lot different in a few years.
Note: This list was compiled just prior to the 2017 season. Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo, in particular, has a chance to make this list look a look different soon.
