Chicago Cubs News: Bryzzo ready for expansion
The Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant start-up company is ready to expand after a successful 2016 with the Chicago Cubs.
It was successful 2016 for the Bryzzo Souvenir company. The company, founded by Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo and third baseman Kris Bryant, is focused on delivering home run baseballs to their clients.
After a 2016 season that saw Bryant win the National League MVP award and the Cubs win the World Series, what is next for the Bryzzo Souvenir company? Expansion.
There is nothing better in this country than seeing a start-up company succeed and expansion is an overall sign of success. Addison Russell and Javier Baez are an excellent addition to the company. Not to mention, the company’s intern David Ross.

While we are on the topic of home run balls, how many players in the Cubs’ lineup will hit over 20 home runs in 2017?
Assuming health, there are three players that can easily be projected to hit over 20 homes in 2017. Those players are Bryant, Rizzo, and left fielder Kyle Schwarber. Bryant clubbed 39 home runs last season while Rizzo had 32. Schwarber has prolific power and there is a strong chance that he could lead the team in home runs this season.
Outside of the big three, who else could join the 20-home run club? Addison Russell has to be given serious consideration. Russell had 21 home runs last season and as his swing continues to develop that number is bound to increase. If Javier Baez becomes an everyday player, then his chances of hitting over 20 home runs may be strong.

Two other players to watch are catcher Willson Contreras and right fielder Jason Heyward. Contreras hit 12 home runs in 76 games last season so with his role being expanded to an everyday basis, his home run total will likely jump. Heyward is entering 2017 with the same approach he had 2012 and that was the season he hit 27 home run for the Atlanta Braves.
