Chicago Bears: Seven-Round 2017 NFL Mock Draft for Start of April
The Bears lost Alshon Jeffery in free agency this offseason and their top four receivers are now: Kevin White, Cameron Meredith, Markus Wheaton and Kendall Wright. Say what you want, but that group does not bring a ton of confidence.
Isaiah Ford is a nice high-upside find here in the fifth round. Ford is a big (6-1, 194 pounds) and athletic receiver who has obvious upside at the next level. That being said, his route running is extremely sloppy and he does not really have a knack for the position.
Drafting Ford and expecting him to immediately dominate would be a mistake, but he is a talented guy who could certainly find a role on a less than stellar wide receiver depth chart.
Georgia State wide receiver Robert Davis is just a big ball of upside. He is a 6-3, 219-pound receiver who ran a 4.44 40-yard dash and put up a 41-inch vertical leap. Davis also led all receivers at the combine with an 11’4″ broad jump.

Davis is an extremely raw player, but it is easy to see how he could become a serious weapon at the next level. Taking a shot on him in the seventh round would be a strong move for the Chicago Bears.
