Now that the NFL Combine is over and the first days of free agency passed, we take a look at a new Chicago Bears approach in the latest mock draft.

Now that the NFL Combine is over and the first few days of free agency passes, we have (or should have) a clearer picture of what the Chicago Bears‘ approach to the draft is. Some familiar faces are gone, replaced by new ones.

Now that the Jay Cutler era is over, how long will the Mike Glennon era last? How do the additions of Kendall Wright and Markus Wheaton affect the wide receiver position? Also, how do the Bears feel with Prince Amukamara and Quentin Demps in the fold?

These are some questions that the Bears look to answer one way or another. The moves made last week give us an idea of what they’ll do at the end of April.

Many expected bigger moves in the beginning of free agency, but Pace has a history of waiting and getting high-value bargains. Last year he signed Akiem Hicks and Jerrell Freeman later on in free agency. Those two played a significant part of the Bears’ defense last season. One of the things about making mock drafts is that the mocks are only a snapshot of what we see as needs for the team. Now that the new league year is upon us, teams make moves on a semi-regular basis. Let’s see if Pace and company do anything else to change the perception of what’s needed.
