Chicago Bulls all-star Jimmy Butler has been the subject of multiple trade rumors this past month but he is tuning out the noise.
Trade rumors have centered around Chicago Bulls’ all-star Jimmy Butler over the course of recent weeks but that isn’t changing the superstar’s mindset.
Butler addressed the trade rumors while speaking with reporters ahead of the Bulls’ game against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night.

“Nope. Nothing surprises me nowadays,” Butler said. “You know that. I’m not surprised by anything. Anything is possible. It’s a business at the end of the day. I love it here. They know that. The city knows that.”
Butler also indicated that he would be keeping out of front office affairs including potential acquisitions the front office might make.
“Nope. I’m good. I’ll stay in my lane, play basketball,” Butler said.
“That’s their job. My job is to get better every day, go out there and try to win games,” Butler said. “I don’t tell them what to do. Like I said before, I don’t move guys. That’s not me. So whatever they decide to do as an organization, us an organization, we’re all living with that and we’re all riding with that. We all still have to go out there and try to win no matter the situation we’re put in or the people they put here.”
One must wonder if the relationship between Butler and the Bulls is damaged beyond repair. With each passing week, there is a story that surfaces about tension between Butler and the Bulls’ upper management.
The growing rift between Butler and the Bulls only heightens the need for a change to be made within the organization. This decision can not be made by general manager Gar Forman or executive vice president John Paxson. Jerry Reinsdorf needs to insert his authority and stop the bleeding.

Logically, that would mean firing Paxson and Forman and constructing a front office that is not inept. Unfortunately, Reinsdorf is loyal to a fault and that may not be an encouraging sign for Butler. If Reinsdorf sides with the team’s front office, then chances are Jimmy Butler will be traded sooner rather than later.
