Chicago Bulls news: Young players showing ignorance in criticizing Dwyane Wade
The young Chicago Bulls’ criticism of Dwyane Wade’s practice time is ignorant. He is a hall of fame player, and he is looking to maximize his playing time at his age, not a guy who is just cashing his paycheck.
This Chicago Bulls circus is getting more ridiculous. Word came out that one of the issues aired during their players meeting before Friday’s game was Dwyane Wade’s practice time. The youngsters complained about him being able to skip some practices while they need to attend.
Taj Gibson spoke about the younger players’ complaints about Wade. “That’s one of the things in the meeting: Young guys just want a little bit more from him,” Gibson said, noting that Wade practiced Saturday. “And he brung it today. He pushed the young guys. And that’s a sign that that meeting did a little something.”
This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in a while.
Wade is a hall of fame player with three NBA Finals titles in his career. His bust is already made. He is also a 35-year-old player with a lot of miles on his body. He is not 22, 23, or 24, ages in which the body recovers at a quick rate.
Wade is trying to get on the court as much as possible. He isn’t trying to just collect a paycheck. These young guys’ ignorance shows by their criticism. They can play 48 minutes one night, then come back and do it again the next night. Wade cannot do that. He missed five games so far this season, and four of them were on the back-end of back-to-back games.

These youngsters should look up to Wade and see how hard he plays now, even when he already has three titles and more seasons behind him than in front of him.
There are players on this team who are fully healthy but cannot get into games. Why not go after THOSE players?
Wade’s practice time and game scheduling is nothing new. He’s had several issues with his knees. He needs the time off so he doesn’t miss a big chunk of the season. I find it incredible that these youngsters cannot understand that.
Gibson went on to say that the players were trying to stay positive, but this criticism of Wade seems anything but positive. This seems like some petty gripes going on. There is nothing else to criticize him on, so they choose something like this, which is a legitimate thing for the Bulls to do.
It appears the younger players did not like being put on blast without looking in the mirror to see if what was said was true. They are just lashing back. This is the sign of players who are still immature.

If this is the mindset of the younger Chicago Bulls players, then this team has a lot more troubles than we first thought.
