Ryan Ramczyk, Wisconsin (6-foot-5, 314 pounds)

Wisconsin has a knack for developing lesser-known players into NFL superstars. For example, look at J.J. Watt and Russell Wilson. Ramczyk may be next.

The route he took to get to the doorsteps of the NFL certainly was a scenic one. He turned down an offer from the PItt Panthers to stay closer to home with Division-II Winona State. HIs stay there wasn’t long, however, as before taking a snap he decided to transfer to a college without an athletic program.

Ramczyk somehow decided to play football again and transferred to Wisconsin-Stevens Point (Division-III).

He again transferred, this time to Wisconsin and coach Paul Chryst, the coach who originally offered him a scholarship for Pittsburgh.

Ramczyk is an athletic behemoth. He makes defenders disappear, and when he goes to the next level, he goes downfield and makes cut blocks look incredibly easy. In the run game, he shows the leg strength to move the pile. He shows great technique and the coaches love how he always keeps his poise in big situations.

Ramczyk has all the skills to be an All-Pro tackle. His combination of size and athletic ability is something coaches drool over. The Chicago Bears need to make sure in the interview process, however, whether his passion for the game is there. As easily as he can be a ten-year superstar in the NFL, he can also be a guy who retires after two seasons.
