Quincy Wilson, Florida (6-foot-1, 210 pounds)

While many have Tabor as the most talented corner in the draft, some think he isn’t even the best on his own team. They say that Quincy Wilson is better.

More from Da Windy City

Wilson is what you look for when you picture a cornerback. He is long and physically built. He plays rough, seemingly enjoying making contact with receivers. That kind of play will endear him to Bears fans.

Wilson has great hands and is a ball hawk. He goes up for the ball and has wide receiver moves that help him win the battle with the best receivers. He is extremely confident, with the short memory needed to succeed in the NFL.

Wilson’s aggressive style tends to get him in trouble at times. He gets too handsy at times, and referees at the pro level won’t let him get away with that. He also takes a lot of chances, but that is natural with a big-play corner. That’s where the short memory comes in handy.

Wilson has very good initial speed, but sometimes he can’t sustain it. If he covers a straight-line speedy receiver, he can be beat.

Against the run, Wilson doesn’t back down. He is eager to get down there and provide support. There is no shying away from contact for him.

The Chicago Bears are trying to get back to the aggressive, manhandling defense. Quincy Wilson fits that bill for them.
