From big wins to great plays to no-hitters, there were plenty of moments to keep fans happy reminiscing. This was one special team, and not just because of their play. They had a very young core (which should be intact for quite some time), and some wily veterans. There were some crazy characters as well.

The team was led by the biggest character of all, the mad scientist named Joe Maddon. He pushed all the buttons, and while some of his decisions were head-scratchers, his players followed his every word and bought into everything. They had confidence Maddon could take them to the promised land, and it happened.
