Vernon Hargreaves III (5-foot-11, 200 pounds), CB, Florida

With all the moves made by Pace, he could afford to go with best player available over position need. With Hargreaves, he gets both.

At eleven, Hargreaves would be the best player available, and he would fill a need at cornerback for the Bears. They have Tracy Porter on the other side of Kyle Fuller, but he has more years behind him than ahead of him so picking Hargreaves would make sense.

This pick is contingent on the Philadelphia Eagles passing on him. The Eagles are said to be deciding between Ezequiel Elliott or Hargreaves.

If the Eagles pass on Hargreaves, he will go down to the Chicago Bears. Pace should scoop him up.

Hargreaves is a little short at 5-foot-11, but he is crazy athletic and loves to fight.

Hargreaves is an explosive athlete. He has a great burst of speed, and can jump with the best of them. He has great balance and body control. He has great instincts for the ball. He had 10 interceptions and 38 passes defended in his three years at Gainesville.

Hargreaves would be a more athletic version of Tim Jennings. Jennings was a fighter during his time with the Chicago Bears, and had a three-year period in which he was second in the league in interceptions. Hargreaves would bring back the tradition of hard-hitting Chicago Bears defensive players.
