With the trade of Martellus Bennett, the Chicago Bears added a draft pick in the first four rounds. We take a look at a revised mock draft for the first four rounds.

The Chicago Bears have been wheeling and dealing since the start of free agency. They signed Danny Trevathan and Jerrell Freeman to solidify the linebacker corps. They signed defensive end Akiem Hicks to improve the defensive line. They signed Bobby Massie to improve the line and move Kyle Long to his more comfortable guard position.

Last week, the Chicago Bears also added to the team by subtracting.

Martellus Bennett was traded to the New England Patriots. He was disgruntled in Chicago, and was disruptive. The Bears also swapped a sixth-round pick for a fourth-round pick in the deal.

With the added fourth-round pick, the Chicago Bears have five picks early in the draft. The first four rounds are considered the rounds in which a lot of a team’s foundation come from.

General manager Ryan Pace has said time and again that he values versatility. He hired head coach John Fox and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, coaches who value having versatility, to have pieces they can move around.

Now Pace has given HIMSELF much versatility. He has those five picks in the first four rounds, and he has nine picks overall. Also, by solidifying the roster, he could go with the best player available, and not draft out of position need. Drafting out of need could lead to desperate picks. Pace is avoiding that.

With that being said, let’s take a look at a revised four-round 2016 mock draft for the Chicago Bears:
