According to ESPN, during the 2015 regular season the Chicago Cubs starters posted a collective 3.36 ERA which was third best in the MLB. However, the Cubs starters faltered in the postseason, posting a collective 5.21 ERA which was third worse among playoff teams.

The starting group this season looks to improve upon that regular season ERA without faltering in the playoffs. Whether the starting pitchers can live up to expectations and answer the above questions effectively could determine how far the Cubs make it next season.
