Scooby Wright III (6-foot-0, 246 pounds), LB, Arizona

There are certain players who are just football players. They may not be the greatest athletes, but they know how to play the game and their instincts put them in a position to succeed.

Scooby Wright III is that type of player. He is not particularly fast, and he will need to bulk up the lower half of his body.

Wright has tremendous instincts, however, and has almost perfect tackling technique so when he is in the open field, he can lock the ball carrier down. He has a penchant for making big plays as well.

Wright had an incredible 2014. He led the nation in tackles with 164. He also led the nation ins tackles for loss with 31. He added 15 sacks and five forced fumbles. He was named the winner of the Bronko Nagurski, Vince Lombardi, and Chuck Bednarik  awards. He was also Consensus All-American and Defensive Player of the Year.

Then 2015 came and injuries tore his season up.

He suffered a torn meniscus and sprained foot which limited him to only three games. That ended up killing his stock.

There are other linebackers in the draft who suffered major injuries but are still considered top prospects. Wright, unfortunately, is not one of them.

Wright will have to show in the Combine that he is over his injuries and ready to take the next level. How he performs in the drills and his medical reports are going to be crucial for him.

Wright is expected to go between the fourth and sixth rounds. As hard as he works, and as high of a football IQ he has, he will prove the doubters wrong when he plays on Sundays.
