Connor McGovern (6-foot-4, 305 pounds), OL, Missouri

McGovern is an ox who has good experience. In the final three seasons at Missouri, he had a consecutive starts streak of 40 games.

As I said, McGovern is an ox. The man is just so strong. He can bench press over 500 pounds, and he can lift 225 pounds 40 times. He also squatted 690 pounds five times.

McGovern uses his strength on the field well. For a man that strong, he moves surprisingly well. He has good feet, and he can get to the second level quickly.

McGovern can add versatility on the offensive line. In addition to playing right guard, he also played left and right tackle.

Of course, being as big and strong as he is, even with his quick feet and ability to move, he has trouble with speedy rushers. While he could play at either tackle slot, he should do so only as a temporary option. He could play there in a pinch, but he cannot play extended snaps at tackle. He plays better in close quarters, where he can utilize that incredible strength and eat up defender.

If the Chicago Bears keep Kyle Long at right tackle, they can draft McGovern and have him gobble up people at right guard. He is not well-known now, but whoever grabs him (probably somewhere in the fourth or fifth round) will get a steal.
