Hunter Henry (6-foot-6, 255 pounds), Arkansas

Henry cleaned up in the awards for tight ends in 2015. He was named to the All American first team, All-SEC first team and won the John Mackey Award as the best tight end in college football. He also has experience, playing in 35 games in his three years (30 of them starts).

In 2015, Henry was the second leading receiver on the Razorbacks offense. He had 51 catches for 739 yards and three touchdowns. For his career, he had 116 catches for 1,661 yards and nine touchdowns.

For some reason, Henry was not used much in red-zone situations. I wonder if that was a result of the coaching decision-making rather than him not being dependable there.

More from Da Windy City

Henry is a reliable catch passer. Of his 116 receptions 93 resulted in either a first down or a touchdown. He has good hands and is a tough guy with an ability to fight for the ball. He did not have a dropped pass in 2015. He is a great athlete for his size, and he has the speed to create separation.

Henry is also a pretty good run blocker. He hustles and gets to the linebacker level quickly to pave the way for his running backs. He has some trouble in pass protection. He tends to grab too much. He will need to gain muscle at the higher level or defenders will eat him up, however.

Henry had the advantage of playing in a pro style offense, so his adjustment period in the NFL will not be that rough. He can line up on the line, at the wing or in the slot.

Scouts seem to really like Henry. He is projected to be a ten-year starter in the NFL. He checks off almost every box you want for a tight end.
