Yes, people, you can root for this team, and expect them to make a long playoff run. They have the pieces in place and are hot at the right moment.

In the Wild Card game, Maddon had Bryant start in left field rather than his usual third base. Later, Maddon had the opportunity to move Bryant from the outfield back to third. He put in Austin Jackson in left to improve his outfield defense.

Right away, a hot shot was hit to Bryant, and he made the catch on a line drive. Later, he made a great stop on an Aramis Ramirez shot down the line, and turned it into an inning-ending double play.
