Chicago Cubs handbook for their new fans

With the Chicago Cubs now squarely in the playoff race, quite a few people are following them and cheering them on. That’s okay, the more on the bandwagon the merrier. The true Cubs fans can welcome them in. As a public service, I came up with a guide to this Cubs team. 

On Wednesday, the Chicago Cubs advanced to the National League Division Series by beating the Pittsburgh Pirates. They now get the right to play the team with the best record in baseball this season, the 100-win St. Louis Cardinals.

As the Cubs continue to win and get deeper into the playoffs, their bandwagon has gotten bigger. Instead of being the “Lovable Losers” that they have been tagged as for decades, they are now just lovable.

This team is full of young players who for one reason or another just don’t feel the pressure. Not many gave them a chance of getting to the Wild Card game, let alone the Divisional Series.

Here they are, preparing for the Cardinals.

As a result of the increasing number of fans, I will give the new fans a guide on this Chicago Cubs team. The Chicago Cubs are a fun team, and easy to cheer for.
